Our Story
Founded in 2015 by Mr. K.M.S. Chandrapala, KMSGems Laboratory emerged from a vision to make professional gemological services accessible to everyone. With over three decades of experience in the gem industry, Mr. Chandrapala recognized that traditional gem testing was often expensive, time-consuming, and inaccessible to small-scale jewelers and individual collectors.
Starting as a small family operation in the gem-rich region of Ragala, Sri Lanka, we have grown into a internationally recognized laboratory serving clients across 75 countries. Our journey has been driven by a commitment to accuracy, integrity, and innovation in gemstone identification.
